As per the new regulation, importers and exporters should submit the supporting documents and customs declaration within 30 days of its initial filing. On failing to submit the documents within this period, a trader would be fined AED 5 per day. The total fine amount can go up to AED 300.

Such traders should submit their customs declaration within 90 days of the enforcement of the notice.
